The Portofino Ceramica Flores stoneware dessert plate
Delicious and sustainable snacks quickly lose their appeal on carelessly produced cheap plates because, as we all know, the eye also eats. With our Flores small plate, you can enjoy your desserts and snacks consciously, because our plates are made by hand with love and care and therefore impress with their unique look.
Sustainable enjoyment from Portugal
This is because our stoneware plates are not mass-produced by machine. In Alcobaça, near the Atlantic Ocean, our producers work in small family businesses and produce every single plate with attention to detail.
They use European stoneware, shape it carefully by hand and then fire it at around 1200 °C. These high temperatures make our Flores plates robust and hard-wearing. After the sustainable glazes have been applied by hand, the products are fired again. This careful creative process gives our Flores plates their special look, as the glazes react with each other and ensure that each plate has a unique color gradient.
The modern design of our plates is available in subtle cream or shiny turquoise and is reminiscent of the coasts of the Atlantic. We bring Mediterranean flair and a little bit of Portugal into your home.
One plate - many possibilities
But our stoneware plates not only impress with their special look, but also with their practicality. Have you invited guests to a cozy movie night? Then serve snacks such as tasty sandwiches or healthy vegetable snacks with various dips.
You can serve various side dishes on the small plates for your main meals and our Flores plates are also the perfect size for dessert lovers. A slice of cake or pie can be served in style and enjoyed with afternoon coffee.
The right care
Our Flores plates will remain part of your slow living interior for a long time, as the careful manufacturing process and high-quality materials make them robust and durable. This makes them suitable for both the microwave and the dishwasher.
You don't need to be an expert to clean your Flores plates properly. Simply use conventional dishwasher tabs and avoid aggressive cleaning agents with citrus additives. This will preserve the special look of your plates and you can enjoy them for a long time.
As quality and sustainability also have their price, our handmade plates are more expensive than machine-made mass-produced goods. But the difference quickly pays for itself: through the special look, the high quality and the environmentally conscious and fair production.
